Anglo Asian Mining PLC (LON:AAZ) has said it is closely monitoring the situation in Azerbaijan following the reports of an escalation of the on-going dispute between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region.    

The company has been successfully operating a gold and copper mine in Azerbaijan for some time now.

It said there has been no impact on operations. The company’s office in Baku and operations at Gedabek continue to function as normal.

The reported hostilities are in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and have never affected the mountainous Armenian border area near the company's mining and processing operations.
