Sunrise Resources awarded air quality permit at CS project in Nevada

The permit was the final of three required for a mine and mineral processing plant at the project

Sunrise Resources PLC (LON:SRES) said it has received an Air Quality Operating Permit for its CS Pozzolan-Perlite project in Nevada, the final permit required for a mine and mineral processing plant.

No adverse comments or objections were received during the public comment period which ended on September 11, 2020.

CS had already received a mining permit from the Federal Bureau of Land Management and a reclamation permit from the Nevada authorities.

Sunrise noted that following its £1mln fundraise two weeks ago it is now fully funded for trial mining, site engineering, detailed funding planning and additional infill drilling and testing at the project.

The junior added that with the rise in the price of gold and silver recently it is also planning to drill test some of its precious metal projects.

In a statement, Patrick Cheetham, Sunrise's executive chairman said: "This is further good news for the CS Project. The permitting delays that we experienced late last year and earlier this year are now behind us and we are pleased to see that market interest in our potential products remains strong.

“We expect to be delivering test samples to a range of customers over the next few weeks for testing as part of the offtake negotiations."
