Kingston Resources Ltd (ASX:KSN) has received further strong results of up to 31 g/t gold within broader zones of mineralisation from recently completed reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Kingsley prospect within the Livingstone Gold Project in WA.
A new batch of assays have been returned from a further 25 holes for 2,352 metres of the 54-hole, 4,525-metre, program completed recently at Kingsley and assays from the remaining 13 holes for 1,219 metres are due by the end of September.
A highlight was 22 metres at 3.65g/t from 20 metres, including 3 metres at 20.6 g/t from 20 metres which included 1-metre at 31.24 g/t from 20 metres and 1-metre at 8.25 g/t from 31 metres.
The results support the evolving mineralisation model developed from knowledge gained from a structural geological review conducted over the wider Livingstone project, including Kingsley, in late 2019.
Drilling confirms continuity
Managing director Andrew Corbett said: “We are continuing to see high-grade intercepts within broader widths of significant mineralisation in this latest batch of assays, which is a very encouraging development.
“The drilling is confirming the continuity of shallow, high-grade gold mineralisation over a 1-kilometre strike length at the Kingsley prospect.
“I am looking forward to receiving the remaining results in the coming weeks which will allow us to start work on a maiden JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate.
“I am also looking forward to getting back into drilling at Livingstone with a rig due back on-site by the end of the month to conduct the co-funded drilling at the Stanley target and to undertake further drilling at the Homestead deposit, which hosts an historic shallow 49,900-ounce gold inferred resource, as well as at the high-grade Winja prospect.
“Our ongoing exploration program at Livingstone will run concurrently with ongoing mining studies at the flagship 3.2 million-ounce Misima Gold Project in Papua New Guinea, where we continue to make positive progress.”

Other strong results include:
- 10 metres at 4.15 g/t from surface, including 2 metres at 8.4 g/t from 4 metres;
- 3 metres at 4.02 g/t from 58 metres and 8 metres at 3.32 g/t from 92 metres, including 2 metres at 11.22 g/t from 92 metres;
- 7 metres at 2.45 g/t from 33 metres; and
- 3 metres at 2.14 g/t from 23 metres and 12 metres at 1.67 g/t from 29 metres, including 1-metre at 10.52 g/t from 29 metres.
Next steps
Results from the current program will be incorporated with results from prior RC drilling, the data from the favourable preliminary metallurgical test-work and the diamond drilling program – all completed by the company in 2019.
Kingston ultimately intends this data to underpin a maiden JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate for the Kingsley prospect, which will be undertaken by Perth-based Cube Consulting.
The co-funded drilling at Stanley through R21 of the WA Government Exploration Incentive Scheme is due to begin in late September with a rig due to mobilise to site in by the end of the month.
This will be followed by a 1,000-metre RC program at Homestead deposit, which hosts an historic shallow 49,900-ounce gold resource and the high-grade Winja prospect to the south.
