Anteris Technologies appoints Professor Bernard Prendergast to TAVR Medical Advisory Board

Business restrictions caused by COVID-19 precludes face-face meetings but this has not dampened interest in Anteris’ unique technology.

Anteris Technologies Ltd (ASX:AVR) (OTCMKTS:AMEUF) has appointed internationally renowned Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Professor Bernard Prendergast to its TAVR Medical Advisory Board.

Professor Prendergast is the chair of cardiology at Cleveland Clinic in London and a consultant cardiologist at St Thomas' Hospital, one of London’s highest regarded teaching hospitals where he is a leading member of the multidisciplinary valve team.

He is former chairman of the European Society of Cardiology Working Group on valvular heart disease and the principal course director of PCR London Valves, the world’s largest specialist meeting in valve intervention.

“Delighted”

AVR chief executive officer Wayne Paterson said: “We are absolutely delighted to have Professor Prendergast join the other highly respected KOLs on our TAVR Medical Advisory Board.

"His input will be particularly valuable as the company looks to gain a CE Mark for the DurAVR™ transcatheter valve in Europe.”

Anteris is a structural heart company advancing the DurAVR™, a novel single-piece 3D aortic valve replacement solution.

Professor Prendergast is well qualified to serve on the advisory board. As well as his vast experience in the field, he has published more than 250 original peer-reviewed articles and performed more than 1000 TAVR procedures.

Shares are up more than 2.3% to A$3.99.
