Blackbird Plc (LON:BIRD) has partnered with Tata Communications to launch a cloud-based editing service for live video to the media and sports industries after recently securing a multi-year order from the Indian digital services giant.
The UK group said it will be “leveraging” the wider video acquisition capabilities of Tata’s Video Connect network as well as the cloud infrastructure of its Media Ecosystem to jointly deliver the offering.
No financial details were given.
While India based, Tata is present in more than 200 countries and territories and serves over 7,000 customers globally that represent over 300 of the Fortune 500.
It is part of the Tata Group conglomerate, one of India’s biggest companies.
Blackbird, meanwhile, is gaining significant traction for its cloud-based editing suite with new customers including Sky Arabia, America’s National Hockey League and Riot Games.
