Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd has appointed industry veteran Kenneth Dale Cron as an advisor to the company’s board of directors.
He is currently serving as chairman and chief executive officer of Coin Operated Games HODL, LLC, an operating company that incubates, acquires and operates game companies.
Extensive experience in growing businesses
Cron has held a variety of leadership positions in public and private companies and has extensive experience in building and growing businesses in the entertainment, media, and technology and finance sectors.
In Uproar Inc., he served as the chairman and CEO from September 1999 to March 2001 and was responsible for listing the company on NASDAQ in 2000.
Cron also led the sale of Uproar to Vivendi Universal in 2001, and worked as chairman and CEO of Vivendi Universal Games from 2001 to 2004.
He has also worked as an operating partner at Long Ridge Equity Partners, a senior advisor at Five Elms Capital, and the chairman of Dotmenu Inc., where he engineered its sale to Grubhub in 2011.
Board member transition
The company’s non-executive director Holly Liu has resigned effective August 11 2020 and has transitioned to an advisory role.
