Applied Graphene Materials PLC -

Applied Graphene Materials PLC (LON:AGM) has signed an exclusive agreement for Ohio-based Maroon Group to distribute its graphene-based coatings in the US and Canada.

The agreement provides a direct route into the coatings and polymers sectors in North America said Applied Graphene, adding Maroon has been distributing specialty chemicals and ingredients across both countries since 1977.

Maroon will introduce Applied Graphene’s graphene dispersions technology, Genable into the market, AGM said.

Applied Graphene has agreements already in place with other companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Greece, Italy, South Africa and Japan.

In a statement, Adrian Potts, Applied Graphene’s chief executive, said: "Maroon Group has leading expertise in additive sales and customer service, which is essential to support sales at this early stage of the graphene market's development. With decades of experience in the region, their impressive network and consumer relationships will open up significant potential for AGM.

"This is the second distribution agreement we have announced in as many weeks and will more than triple the size of the number of sales team members amongst our distribution partners that can help drive sales of AGM's products since June."
