Blue Star Capital raises £550,000 via share placing partly to maintain stake in Dynasty eSports

Dynasty eSports is about to embark on a £1.5mln (US$2mln) funding round and Blue Star wants to keep its holding at 13%

Blue Star Capital PLC (LON:BLU) said it has raised £550,000 via a share placing.

In a statement, the technology investor said part of the proceeds will be deployed to maintain its 13% stake in Dynasty eSports, which, separately, is about to embark on a £1.5mln (US$2mln) funding round. Cash will also be set aside “additional working capital”.

The new shares, issued at 0.15p, come with a warrant attached, exercisable at 0.25p.

In the same announcement, the market was told that Blue Star had settled certain unspecified liabilities via the issue of £16,000-worth of new shares.

A specialist investment firm, Blue Star’s focuses on esports, payments technology and its applications within media and gaming.

As well as directly funding e-sports teams, it has a significant stake in a micro-payments platform called SatoshiPay and a much smaller holding biometrics payments provider Sthaler.
