Berkeley Group Holdings PLC (LON:BKG) said Glyn Barker has agreed to be non-executive chairman of the housebuilder for up to two years.
Barker was appointed interim chairman after the untimely death last month of the group’s founder, Tony Pidgley. He has agreed to continue in the role while the board finds a long-term replacement for Pidgley.
Barker will step down as chairman of the Remuneration Committee, although he will remain a member of the committee. He will also step down from the Audit Committee.
Diana Brightmore-Armour will succeed Barker as the senior non-executive director.
