Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has teamed up with Mobileye, Intel’s vehicle safety business, for collaboration in new driver automation assists.
Mobileye’s camera-based EyeQ technology will be used to support Ford’s ‘Co-Pilot360’ systems which include assists such as lane-keeping, pre-collision automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.
Specifically, EyeQ devices and vision processing software will be used in Level 1 and Level 2 driver-assistance in Ford vehicles globally.
Branding for Mobileye will be visible in Ford’s communication displays.
“By customizing Mobileye’s excellent software and sensing technology, Ford’s great driver-assist features will continue to evolve and provide customers with confidence on the road throughout the life of their vehicles,” said Lisa Drake, Ford chief operating officer, North America.

Level 1 systems are those that automate one part of the driving experience - like steering, acceleration, or deceleration – while Level 2 assist in more than one element. Both require driver supervision.
