Predictive Discovery gold results grow NE Bankan discovery at Kaninko project

Both the RC and diamond drilling are ongoing with RC drilling on single shift and diamond drilling on double shift and 308 RC drill samples awaiting analysis at the SGS Bamako laboratory.

Predictive Discovery Ltd’s (ASX:PDI) first batch of assay results from ongoing reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Kaninko Project in Guinea have further widened and confirmed the NE Bankan gold mineralised zone.

The program, which is designed to test the full extent of the 0.25 g/t gold anomaly obtained from power auger drilling into saprolite, has drilled 12-holes totalling 1,147 metres.

Best results are 99 metres at 1.17 g/t gold from 1-metre to the end of hole and 15 metres at 3.42 g/t from surface, including 4 metres at 9.33 g/t.

“Understanding increasing rapidly”

Managing director Paul Roberts said: “Our understanding of the new NE Bankan gold mineralised system is increasing rapidly.

“These initial RC drill results have provided further evidence of shallow and very broad zones of oxide gold mineralisation within the 1.3-kilometre-long, broad power auger gold anomaly defined in May and June.”

Areas previously untested by AC drilling

As well as the power auger gold anomaly, the program is also testing areas untested by initial aircore (AC) drilling with other encouraging intersections returned including:

  • 33 metres at 1.72 g/t from 67 metres, including 1-metre at 22.1 g/t;
  • 40 metres at 1.44 g/t from surface;
  • 26 metres at 1.15 g/t from 4 metres; and
  • 21 metres at 1.24 g/t from 79 metres to end-of-hole.

Gold grades continue at depth

These RC results have further widened and confirmed the NE Bankan gold mineralised zone reported in April, which included a best result of 46 metres at 6.58 g/t.

Many of the RC holes ended in the transition from weathered to fresh rock, with results suggesting that gold grades continue at depth and into the underlying fresh rock.

Samples from a further 31 RC holes totalling 2,635 metres and five diamond holes totalling 956 metres are in the laboratory awaiting analysis, along with 1,168 power auger drill samples, with results to be released in the coming weeks.

Next steps

Further assay results are expected in coming weeks from an additional 31 RC holes and the first five diamond holes completed at NE Bankan.

In addition, 1168 power auger samples have been delivered to the SGS laboratory in Bamako.

Both the RC and diamond drilling are ongoing with RC drilling on single shift and diamond drilling on double shift.

One diamond drill hole and limited additional RC drilling has also been completed on the Bankan Creek prospect.

308 RC drill samples from the Kankan permit are awaiting analysis at the SGS Bamako laboratory.

Predictive holds approximately 800 square kilometres of prospective landholdings across five projects all containing artisanal gold workings.

All projects are within the Siguiri Basin which hosts Anglogold’s large Siguiri Mine (+10 million ounces).
