Thor Mining PLC (LON:THR) has kicked off the second phase of geochemical sampling for gold, nickel, and chromium at its Pilbara Goldfield tenements in western Australia.
The company is following up in five separate areas where prior sampling work detected gold, with efforts including upstream sampling towards potential source rock. Additionally, nickel and chrome focussed sampling will take place where the team previously reported gossan within ultramafic rock.

It is expected that the sampling programme will be completed within one week and assays will likely follow several weeks after completion.
"This is an important follow up to the previous, very successful, sampling program,” Mick Billing, Thor executive chairman said in a statement.
"COVID19 access restrictions delayed earlier access to the licence area, and we are very pleased to be able to recommence activity on this very exciting project, using a Western Australian based team. We look forward to providing updates on progress as they become available," he added.
