McBride PLC (LON:MCB) said adjusted profit before tax for the year ended June 30 will top a market consensus only upgraded two months ago.
Analysts set their forecast at £21.6mln after the cleaning products manufacturer said in May performance had been driven by high demand during lockdown, though revenue dipped over the previous year.
Demand for surface cleaning and dishwashing products remained strong in most household markets, it said, while there had been encouraging sales of new hand sanitiser products.
Laundry products though were weaker and that meant sales overall dropped 1.7% for the year.

As countries ease restrictions, demand is returning to more normal levels, McBride added.
Net debt was cut to £93mln at year-end, from last year’s £120.9mln.
In the same update, the producer said Clive Jennings was appointed as interim chief financial officer to replace Chris Smith, who was promoted to the chief executive role last month after Ludwig de Mot left with immediate effect after seven months in the role.
Jennings, who joined in late June, was formerly chief financial officer at gambling company The Rank Group plc (LON:RNK).
