Peninsula Energy appoints experienced uranium executive to chief financial officer role

The company is embarking on a project transformation initiative at the Lance Projects in Wyoming, USA to change from an alkaline ISR operation to a low pH ISR operation.

Peninsula Energy Ltd (ASX:PEN) has appointed experienced mining and uranium executive Ron Chamberlain as chief financial officer and joint company secretary.

Chamberlain is a finance professional with more than 30 years’ experience in resources and 10 years specialising in the uranium sector.

He has previously held the roles of chief financial officer for Paladin Energy (ASX:PDN), acting chief financial officer and non-executive director for Extract Resources and more recently chief financial officer at Vimy Resources.

Chamberlain has replaced David Coyne who has resigned his fulltime role with the company but will remain on the board as a non-executive director.

“Strong track record”

Managing director and CEO Wayne Heili said: “We are delighted to have attracted someone of Ron’s experience and capability to fill David’s role.

“Ron has a strong track record of success managing finances in all areas of resources from exploration, development to production, while his time working in the US just adds another layer of his understanding of our business.

“I look forward to working with Ron, and his contribution, as we continue to progress towards a re-start of our flagship Lance Uranium Project in Wyoming.”
