Ferrexpo PLC (LON:FXPO) produced 2.9mln tonnes of iron ore pellets in the second quarter of 2020, up 5% on the 2.9mln tonnes produced in the first quarter.
Overall production for the first half rang in at 5.6mln tonnes, up 5% on the production rate for the corresponding period of 2019.
Furthermore, sales volumes in the first half of the year increased by around 21% over the corresponding period in 2019, to 6.1mln tonnes. The company said this reflected “de-stocking.”
Ferrexpo also said that thus far the coronavirus is having a minimal impact on its operations and that the infection rate in local communities in the vicinity of its operations in the Ukraine remains low.
