Management changes at the top of Ferrexpo

Ferrexpo is a major producer of iron ore, with operations in the Ukraine

Ferrexpo PLC (LON:FXPO) has appointed James North, the acting chief executive of Ferrexpo, as an executive director of the company with immediate effect.

North joined Ferrexpo in November 2014 and has since then managed the company's operations. Previously, North was chief operating officer of London Mining PLC. Prior to this, he held a variety of senior operational management roles in multiple commodities with Rio Tinto and BHP.

Separately, Chris Chris Mawe will leave his position as group chief financial officer, once an orderly transition process has been established. The board has begun a formal process to identify and appoint a successor.

Mawe has vacated his role as a director with immediate effect, and will vacate his role as a director of various Group subsidiaries.
