Avon Rubber PLC (LON:AVON) announced an award for a US$50mln contract with the US Department of Defense.
The manufacturer of respiratory protection equipment will supply M50 gas masks and related spares and accessories over five years.
The first order is expected shortly, with deliveries starting in the second half of the financial year.
Shares rose 2% to 3,287.99p on Wednesday at the opening bell.
