Persimmon PLC (LON:PSN) has appointed Dean Finch as its new chief executive to replace David Jenkinson, who announced his departure in February.
Finch has been at the same position at transport company National Express Group PLC (LON:NEX) since 2010.

He was previously at London-based maintenance firm Tube Lines and at First Group plc (LON:FGP), where he also held executive roles.
Finch, who is expected to take his post at the housebuilding giant at the end of the year, will receive an annual base salary of £725,000 and a pension allowance of 9% of pay.
Shares in the FTSE 100 housebuilder dipped almost 4% to 2,321p by late morning on Wednesday, while those in National Express were down neared 5% at 223.97p.
Transport sector analysts at broker Peel Hunt said the timing of Dean's departure from the coach operator "is a surprise", partly as the company had a natural replacement in Matt Ashley but he left at the beginning of April to become CFO of William Hill.
"Additionally, the group has recently raised equity to take advantage of growth opportunities and delever from the impact of Covid-19, and resigning now may undermine confidence in the group's ability to recover."
As for Persimmon, the housing analysts noted that the announcement continues the evolution of senior management at Persimmon being enacted by chairman Roger Devlin as part of the response to the long-running saga of its boardroom bonuses.
