Blue Star Capital PLC (LON:BLU), which has a stake in Leaf Mobile Inc (CVE:LEAF), said the latter had enjoyed the best quarter in its trading history.
The AIM-listed investing company that invests in companies operating in the fields of esports and online payments, said Canadian company Leaf Mobile reported “a significant rise in turnover” in the first quarter to C$5.6mln, up 420% year-on-year.
Revenue growth was attributed to the success of its new mobile games and stable revenue from its portfolio of legacy games.
“We are pleased to see Leaf performing strongly and the successful launch of Leaf's new game, Cheech and Chong Bud Farm," said Tony Fabrizi, the chief executive officer of Blue Star.
Blue Star bought into Leaf in April 2020 at a price of C$0.16; the shares currently trade at around C$0.38.
