Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) boss Elon Musk has pushed back the electric vehicle company’s shareholder meeting by around two months due to coronavirus social distancing concerns.
Originally planned for July 7, Musk said on Sunday that September 15 was the new tentative date for the annual general meeting (AGM), to be held in Fremont, California, the location of the carmaker's US factory.
The AGM is likely to be aligned with the company's 'Battery Day' event focused on information about a new, longer-lasting car battery.
The battery event, where Tesla is expected to reveal details about its 'million mile' battery, was originally scheduled for April before being postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Musk provided the tentative date after being questioned on Twitter about whether the company's 'Cyber Truck' would be at the shareholders meeting.
