Animoca Brands begins digital collectible sales in traditional mobile gaming

Animoca will continue exploring the potential of blockchain and NFTs attached to traditional mobile games.

Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd has completed the sale of 100 Super Value Chests in its tower-defence mobile game Crazy Defense Heroes.

Each Super Value Chest contains a collectible card non-fungible token (NFT), Gems (the in-game premium currency of Crazy Defense Heroes) and VIP points.

The sale is the first initiative by Animoca to bring blockchain and NFTs to traditional mobile gaming.

During the sale held at www.crazydefenseheroes.com, a total of 100 Super Value Chests sold out, including all Legendary chests (the highest and most valuable tier available) which sold out in less than 24 hours.

The Crazy Defense Heroes collectible card NFTs obtained in the Super Value Chests can now be traded at https://opensea.io/assets/crazy-defense-heroes.

The Super Value Chests sale marks the first foray of Crazy Defense Heroes - a traditional mobile game - to explore opportunities provided by blockchain technology, and represents the first of several planned actions to overcome the divide between the worlds of traditional gaming and cryptographic gaming.

Animoca will continue exploring the potential of blockchain and NFTs attached to traditional mobile games, challenging the standard model of game licencing, and fostering the mass adoption of blockchain and NFT technologies.
