Experian PLC (LON:EXPN) said the current situation is volatile due to the coronavirus pandemic uncertainty, with key revenue drivers varying significantly from week-to-week.
The credit check giant saw revenue dip by 5% in April, while the quarter to June is expected to drop by 5-10%.
The FTSE 100-listed firm has not furloughed any employees and is focusing on active cost measures on all discretionary costs.
In the year to 31 March, revenue rose 7% to US$5.1bn, though profit before tax dropped 2% to US$942mln. Net debt at year-end was US$3.8bn.
The total dividend was raised by 1% to US$0.47 per share.
"We await greater visibility emerging as the crisis, with its full economic impact, unfolds," analysts at Shore Capital commented.
"We expect Experian to continue to generate cash throughout, reflecting the resilience of much the business with counter-cyclical growth trends emerging in some Data and Decisioning activities."
Shares jumped 8% to 2,711.28p on Wednesday morning.
