ImagineAR taps sports marketing veteran to bring augmented reality to teams struggling engage fans during pandemic

Miller, who founded the marketing firm Division ONE Sports, will serve as an advisor to CEO Alen Paul Silverrstieen

ImagineAR Inc (CSE:IP) (OTCQB:IPNFF) announced Tuesday that Division ONE Sports founder Troy Miller has joined the company as an advisor to the CEO with the goal of bringing augmented reality (AR) to college and pro sports stadiums amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Miller’s Division ONE Sports has worked in the sports marketing and consulting services at the college and pro levels since 2003, ImgaineAR noted in a statement. All told, Miller himself has more than $500 million in sports sponsorship and media deals under his belt after 30 years in the industry.

The idea is to give sports teams new tools to engage with fans at a time where packing into a stadium isn’t possible.

"Mr Miller brings a tremendous track record of success in professional sports and major NCAA Division 1 athletics," CEO Alen Paul Silverrstieen said in the statement. "With today's paradigm shift in sports fan engagement due to COVID-19, augmented reality is a perfect activation technology for both in-stadium and live streaming."

Division ONE Sports provides companies with turnkey sports marketing and consulting services related to TV-Visible stadium signage, branding, media sales, IP rights, promotional rights, on-site activation, database marketing, social media, and VIP hospitality.

Miller has extensive relationships with more than 100 NCAA Division 1 schools, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS teams, as well as major TV networks, ImagineAR said.

"With the advancement in technology across several platforms, ImagineAR brings a leading-edge augmented reality platform to the pro sports and collegiate athletic teams and venues to give them yet another means to reach and enhance fan engagement, as well as generate new revenue streams to add to their bottom line," Miller commented.

ImagineAR’s technology provides businesses of any size with the tools to create their own mobile phone AR campaigns. Customers can simply point their mobile devices at logos, signs, buildings and more to instantly engage with AR images, videos or holographic content.

The Vancouver company’s AR Enterprise platform supports both iOS and Android devices, in addition to upcoming wearable technology.
