Centamin PLC (LON:CEY) boosted gross revenues by 7% to US$658mln during the twelve months to 31 December 2019.
The company’s production from its Sukari gold mine in Egypt rang in 2% higher at 480,000 ounces, with production weighted, as per the previous year, towards the second half.
Costs came in within guidance, albeit that they rose. Cash costs were US$699 per ounce produced, up 12%, while all-in sustaining costs were US$943 per ounce sold, up 7%.
A stronger gold price helped boost profit after tax by 13% to US$172.9mln
The company has a debt-free balance sheet, with no hedging. Cash and liquid assets amounted to US$348.9mln at the end of the year, a total which subsequently increased to US$379.2 million, as at 31 March 2020.
