Vodafone agrees device partnership with Chinese supplier

Smartphones from Oppo will be made available across the UK telecoms group's retail and online channels

Vodafone Group PLC (LON:VOD) will offer smartphones from Chinese supplier Oppo from this month across its European markets as supply remains constrained by coronavirus.

The FTSE 100 group said the partnership agreement will enable it to “accelerate 5G adoption” across its various geographic markets.

Devices from Oppo will be made available across the UK telecoms group's retail and online channels.

Vodafone said that the Chinese company predominantly makes its products in-house and as most of its manufacturing facilities have resumed normal operation, it can “continue to provide products to Vodafone and ensure business continuity”.
