MTI Wireless’ Mottech inks deal to provide irrigation systems to Chinese landscape project

The company said the order, totalling over US$300,000, means it will end April with orders from China of nearly US$500,000

MTI Wireless Edge Ltd (LON:MWE) said it has won a contract to provide wireless irrigation control solutions to a landscape project in East China through its subsidiary, Mottech Water Solutions.

The AIM-listed company said the order, totalling over US$300,000, means it will end April with orders from China of nearly US$500,000, all of which are expected to be delivered by the end of July.

"We significantly increased our focus on the Chinese market in the last two years with the opening of a local subsidiary. China has become Mottech's fastest-growing market and we expect this to continue to be the case and in time become one of its largest markets. It is encouraging, therefore, to see China re-open for business in April," MTI’s chief executive Moni Borovitz said in a statement.

MTI’s shares jumped 5.1% to 36.8p in early deals on Monday.
