Filtronic PLC (LON:FTC) has said its customer base remains positive and that it has not received requests to cut or defer programmes during the current coronavirus crisis.
However, the AIM-listed firm said the pandemic has slowed the process of finding a new chief executive, after Rob Smith resigned in October, with Reg Gott to continue to serve as its executive chairman through the summer.
In its update, the manufacturer of products for wireless telecoms said its supply chain is “a key concern” but it does not foresee any critical shortages at this time.
“Although the measures we have taken to protect our staff and the business as a whole are somewhat disruptive to efficient operations, we enjoy the support of a great team of staff committed to meeting customer deliveries,” Gott commented.
Shares advanced 8% to 7.16p on Monday at the opening bell.
