Netflixhas seen a surge in subscriber numbers during the lockdowns. Nearly 16mln signed up in the three months to March or almost double the previous quarter though it warned film making has almost stopped completely.
Boohoo (LON:BOO) says it has introduced completely new ways of working to keep its warehouses open during the pandemic and has set up an emergency fund to help suppliers. The online clothes retailer lifted sales by 44% in the year to February while profits rose by 54%.
Hiscox expects to pay out US$150mln of claims for cancelled events, entertainment and travel up until September and a further US$25mln if the lockdown extends for longer.
BATM (LON:BVC) has received a €29mln order for the delivery of 1,000 critical care mechanical ventilators to a European government. An upfront fee of €7.25mln has already been received and BATM expects the balance to be paid on delivery in the second half of 2020.
Medical cannabis and CBD group Sativa (LON:SATI) has received a takeover offer. The potential bidder is Canada-listed CBD manufacturer StillCanna, which has facilities in Romania and Poland.
