Gfinity PLC (LON:GFIN) has signed a contract with YaLLa Esports, one of the leading esports teams in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), to expand its RealGaming101 website into the region.
The esports media firm said the partnership will see a new Arabic MENA focussed website, RealGaming101.me, launched later this month targeting 93mln engaged gamers in the region.

The website will host similar content to Gfinity’s existing website, RealGaming101.com, and will also leverage the company’s partnership with companies such as Bidstack Group PLC (LON:BIDS) and Venatus to connect local publishers and large-scale brands with gamers and esports enthusiasts.
Commercial solutions offered will include programmatic advertising, bespoke video and audio-based promotions and brand site takeovers, which Gfinity said will “significantly increase the opportunity for additional revenues to be generated”.
"Growing our own community franchise is a strategic priority for Gfinity and this exciting new partnership with YaLLa represents a significant opportunity to expand our reach and tap into the passion that gamers in the Middle East have for all things related to esports”, Gfinity chief executive John Clarke said in a statement.
“It is a market that is grossly underserved with high quality and entertaining local language content. Not anymore. We look forward to learning alongside the YaLLa team, expanding the esports fan base and creating a new and robust revenue stream for both parties", he added.
Shares in Gfinity jumped 14% to 1.7p in on Monday.
