Cerillion PLC (LON:CER) shares shot up on Monday as the enterprise software company said it has “not experienced any slowdown in trading activity” from the coronavirus pandemic.
After winning four major contracts since last summer, revenue in the six months to 31 June of £10.2mln was up 46% year-on-year.
Underlying profit (adjusted EBITDA) is expected to be £2.7mln, the billing, charging and CRM software specialist said, up from £0.4mln a year earlier and a record first half since its 2016 flotation.
At the half-year stage, there was net cash of £4.8mln on the balance sheet, up year-on-year and little moved from the £5mln at year end.
Focused on the telecoms, finance and utilities sectors, the AIM-listed group said its sales pipeline “remains encouraging” as its customers are “currently typically seeing strong data traffic levels arising from national 'lockdowns' across the globe”.
Therefore, the board said it “believes that there is a substantial degree of resilience to Cerillion's business model”.
Shares in the company were up 14% to 240p by mid-morning on Monday, taking them just above flat for the year and not far from December's all-time highs.
