Fireweed Zinc Ltd (CVE:FWZ) announced the appointment of financial and mining industry veteran Peter Hemstead to the company’s board of directors.
Hemstead is currently CFO of Bluestone Resources Inc, where he holds a crucial role in moving the Cerro Blanco gold project toward production. He is also a director and audit committee chair at Fiore Gold Ltd, a growth-oriented gold producer.
Before that, he served as a senior financial executive at Capstone Mining Corp, where he helped the company transition from a development-stage mining company to an intermediate producer.
