Bryah Resources Ltd - Bryah Resources receives positive gold recoveries averaging 90% at Tumblegum Gold-Copper prospect

Bryah Resources Ltd (ASX:BYH) has achieved encouraging gold recoveries with an average of 90% from test work at its Tumblegum South gold-copper prospect within the Gabanintha Project in central Western Australia.

The recovery rate is consistent with recoveries from the nearby Gabanintha gold mine and total gold assay results correlate well to initial laboratory analysis.

Following the recent mineral resource estimate of 600,000 tonnes at 2.2 g/t gold for 450,000 ounces using a cut-off grade of 0.3 g/t, 20 samples were selected for testing by cyanide using a 6-hour bottle roll leach at a laboratory in Perth.

Calculated gold grades of the samples ranged from 0.35 g/t gold to 27.46 g/t and the 20 samples have recorded an average of 90% gold recovery.

This provides the company with positive results in respect to potential gold recoveries from conventional cyanide leaching.

"Enhanced potential" for development

Managing director Neil Marston said: “These preliminary leaching test results are very encouraging, demonstrating that most of the gold from Tumblegum South should be amenable to standard cyanide leaching processes.

“We expect this will enhance the potential for future development of the project.

“We are continuing to work towards an arrangement which will allow the company to monetise the prospect, either through an outright sale or some other form of commercial development.

“The company also pushed ahead with pegging a mining lease over the deposit and will work to get the lease granted as quickly as possible.”

Over the last two months, Bryah has been conducting a formal process to monetise the prospect, given its near-term development potential.

This process is advancing, with the company engaged in ongoing discussions.

Leaching test results

High-grade cyanide leaching utilises the LeachWELLTM accelerant to determine the cyanide extractable gold and provides an indication of potential recoveries in metallurgical processes and circuits.

Recovery and analysis of the residues (tailings) allows reporting of total gold values, thus determining the refractory gold fraction.

Twenty bags containing residual reverse circulation (RC) samples from the drilled metres were recovered from site and delivered to Intertek for analysis by their LeachWELL technique.

The full bags were weighed then split to produce a 1,000-gram sample for testing.

The average 90% recovery result is in line with historical metallurgical tests for oxide ore of 93% recovery at the nearby Gabanintha deposit.

While these results provide positive information in respect to gold recovery from conventional cyanide leaching, further definitive test work will be required as this project is progressed towards development.

Mining lease application

Recently, the company arranged for a mining lease application (M51/888) to be pegged by licensed surveyors over the prospect area.

Bryah will work with the various stakeholders to get the mining lease granted by the Department of Mines Industry Regulation and Safety as soon as possible.

The grant of the mining lease will be required before any mining operations on the prospect can commence.
