'Now's the time to consider investing in young companies', says equity investment platform Seedrs

David Houghton, from equity investment platform Seedrs, says things are beginning to level out since the initial introduction of travel restrictions and lockdowns and they're now seeing steady investment activity across its portfolio of investments. ''In fact, last week we saw investment activity which matched that of January this year ... and we're confident it'll stay at those levels'', he says. ''We're seeing huge volatility in the public markets and I think people are looking at what other asset classes they can put their cash into ... looking at longer term investments and private early stage venture investments fits exactly that''. ''PlanarTECH is our first investment into a graphene business ... we're really excited about it. It's a huge industry, we're seeing a tonne of investment coming from elsewhere in the private market space and we're really keen to get this out to our investor base to see how it resonates and so far it's doing really well''.

planarTECH snowed-under with demand for its face masks

planarTECH's Ray Gibbs says sales of its graphene face masks have been very good and they've been 'snowed-under' with orders and commitments for over 150,000 masks. He says they've just sold a significant number to two UK universities and will be delivering the first big batch next Friday.
