Future PLC (LON:FUTR) has been granted continual approval for its acquisition of TI Media, though it will have to dispose of competing titles in football, photography and technology.
The magazine publisher announced the £140mln acquisition in October, but after initially launching a phase 1 investigation the Competition and Markets Authority has decided to allow it so long as WorldSoccer, Amateur Photographer and Trustedreviews.com are sold.
Future said it is in discussion with the CMA on the potential remedies to be offered to mitigate these competition issues.
TI Media has a stable of 41 titles including TV Times, Wallpaper, Woman’s Weekly, Woman’s own and Horse & Hound.
