Europa Metals hits best grades yet from drilling at Toral

Material recovered from hole TOD-025 will be analysed further in the next phase of metallurgical testwork.

Europa Metals Ltd (LON:EUZ) has recorded its highest grades so far from the Toral project in north-west Spain in the latest two holes to be drilled.

The drilling also confirmed a thick, high-grade zone outside the current confirmed resource area with grades of 17% zinc equivalent and a bumper section of more than 25% metal.

The results also extend the current known high-grade area of the deposit and are consistent with the historic grades encountered at the Toral from historic drilling in the eighties, added Europa.

Material recovered from hole TOD-025 will be analysed further in the next phase of metallurgical tests.

Laurence Read, executive director of Europa Metals, said: “The intersections have enabled us to obtain further mineralised core to continue with the metallurgical work programme, once the results from the current testwork are received and reported.

“As previously announced, we shall not obtain a further resource update at this stage, but will instead focus on establishing recoveries and potential future saleable concentrate product types of zinc, lead and silver from the high-grade mining profile being developed at Toral."

The overall resource at Toral is now approximately 18mln tonnes at 7.4% zinc equivalent.
