Serco Group PLC (LON:SRP) has signed a six-year extension to a support services contract at the Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth.
Starting in 2021, the extension is worth an approximate A$730m (£370m) to Serco over its six-year term.
Serco was awarded the original contract for the 783-bed public hospital ten years ago and will provide three additional services - cleaning, catering and internal logistics – in addition to facilities and asset management, electronic records management and ICT management already supplied.
Rupert Soames, chief executive, said: "Fiona Stanley Hospital is an outstanding facility delivering a world-class service.
We are pleased the State [Western Australia] has recognised the importance of Serco's ongoing support with this contract extension for the next stage the hospital's development, and we will continue to work incredibly hard to deliver our services and ensure the transition is efficiently delivered."
