Cora Gold hits more gold in campaign to extend resource base at Sanankoro

Cora has already established a 265,000 ounce resource at Sanankoro

Cora Gold Ltd (LON:CORA) has returned further gold intersections from drilling at its Sanankoro project in the Yanfolila gold belt, Southern Mali.

The primary focus of the drilling was to target shallow oxide extensions beyond the footprint of the existing 5mln tonne JORC resource, which already shows 265,000 ounces of gold.

The results confirm there is significant mineralised extensions beyond the existing resource footprint at Sanankoro.

Among the highlights were 2.95 grams per tonne over two metres, 1.24 grams per tonne over eight metres and 2.67 grams over five metres.

Further results are pending.

"This latest round of drill results has identified a new plus-1,500 metres long gold structure,” said Cora chief executive Bert Monro.

“This is particularly encouraging given that the shallow drilling undertaken is only designed to provide a guide to the location of the structures.”
