Artemis Resources responds to ASX price and volume query

Shares in Artemis were up 41% yesterday at the intra-day high of 4.1 cents, shares closed at 3.8 cents, up 31% on the day.

Artemis Resources Ltd (ASX:ARV) entered a trading halt late yesterday to respond to a price and volume query from the ASX after its share price ran from 2.9 cents to 4.1 cents yesterday.

The ASX also noted the above-average volume in Artemis shares trading this week.

As per normal in these circumstances, the query was confirming that Artemis remained in compliance with information disclosure rules.

The company confirmed it was in compliance and responded saying it was not aware of any relevant information that has not been announced to explain the recent trading.

Artemis says Havieron discovery may be driving price

Artemis offered a possible explanation for the price and volume action by adding: “ARV has ~605 square kilometres in the Patersons range with gold and copper targets 40 kilometres from the Telfer gold mine and surrounding the Havieron discovery being drilled by Newcrest.

“Newcrest have a farm-in agreement to Greatland Gold’s Havieron project.

“The Greatland Gold (GGP (LON)) share price has risen ~160% in the last month."
