Moho Resources Ltd (ASX:MOH) has confirmed significant gold results from drilling at the East Sampson Dam prospect within the Silver Swan North Project near Kalgoorlie in WA.
Twenty-nine reverse circulation (RC) holes were drilled for a total of 2,600 metres. Highlight results include:
- SSMH0051: 15 metres at 4.71 g/t gold from 88 metres including 3 metres at 15.18 g/t gold from 100 metres;
- SSMH0062: 5 metres at 10.36 g/t gold from 59 metres including 2 metres at 24.61 g/t gold from 56 metres; and
- SSMH0075: 9 metres at 4.28 g/t gold from 19 metres including 3 metres at 3.37 g/t gold from 19 metres.
Drill results cross-section
The nature of the drill results over a 225-metre strike length supports previous drilling in this area which has intersected high grade gold mineralisation at the contact between a quartz porphyry and felsic volcanic units.
Next steps
Further drilling is planned in the second quarter of 2020 to further define the limits of gold mineralisation at the East Sampson Dam Prospect and to test nearby target areas within the Silver Swan North Project area.
The current round of drilling was successful in locating new areas of mineralisation which will be explored further during the next program.
Moho tenement interest in relation to regional geology of Silver Swan North Project
Mining studies are ongoing with consultant mining engineer David Clark of Minero Pty Ltd, including desktop modelling and discussions with toll treating operators in the region.
Metallurgical consultants will be appointed shortly and resource modelling is currently underway.
Moho believes that, if mineralisation is extended and a suitable gold resource established, it could provide early cash flow for the company.
