Archer Materials appoints advisor for halloysite-kaolin projects

The new consultant is an experienced senior executive in corporate finance as well as mining and specialty industrial minerals.

Archer Materials Ltd (ASX:AXE) has appointed Andre Zeitoun as an advisor to the company for the development of its Australian halloysite-kaolin projects.

Kaolin and halloysite are alumina-based clays that are a potential feedstock in processing high-value and high-purity alumina (HPA).

Experienced executive

Zeitoun has more than 10 years of experience in the commercial development and production lifecycle of halloysite-kaolin industrial minerals, including from exploration through to mining and commercial production.

Most recently he was president of Applied Minerals Inc (OTCMKTS:AMNL), which is the owner-operator of the Dragon Mine halloysite clay deposit in Eureka, Utah, USA.

Zeitoun also has an extensive network within the halloysite-kaolin industry, having recently completed a strategic commercial partnership agreement with the Kaolin Division of BASF Corporation, the world’s largest producer of specialty chemicals.

Archer is a materials technology company developing materials in quantum computing, biotechnology and lithium-ion batteries as well as exploring for minerals in Australia, including kaolin and halloysite.

The company has strong intellectual property, broad-scope mineral tenements, world-class in-house expertise, a diverse advanced materials inventory, and access to more than $300 million of R&D infrastructure.
