Pacific Empire Minerals Corp (CVE:PEMC), the prospect generator, unveiled assays from 2019 drilling at the Pinnacle project in British Columbia, which showed the potential for a porphyry system with a broad halo of gold.
Four holes were sunk using the group's own drill reverse circulation (RC) rig in November and December last year.

A highlight was at the Elbow target where 7.7 metres (m) was hit, grading 0.18 grams per ton (g/t) gold. This hole was 900 m north of a 2015 drill intercept of 94 m at 0.34 g/t of the yellow metal.
"2019 drilling at the Elbow Target at Pinnacle continues to intersect anomalous gold," noted Brad Peters, the group's president and CEO.
"To step out over 1 kilometre north from a 2015 drill hole that was interpreted to have drilled the margin of a porphyry system and, again, intersect anomalous gold and porphyry-style alteration assemblages, is significant," he added.
Potential for mineralization
"These results at the Elbow target indicate potential for mineralization to exist between the two sites. Construction of proposed logging roads in the near future will provide further road access to the Sooner and Aplite Creek target areas and which will likely expose some interesting rock in the process."
Two other holes were sunk at the Later Target, which is described as a "bull's eye" magnetic anomaly roughly 1.5km in diameter centered by an 800 m by 400 m magnetic high, and Pacific Empire said that it considers this target warrants further drilling despite one hole not reaching target depth.
The 14,040 hectare and wholly-owned Pinnacle project lies around 50 km northwest of Centerra Gold's Mt. Milligan copper-gold mine.
