AFC Energy PLC (LON:AFC) said it has begun a hydrogen-fueled “roadshow” to highlight the benefits and capability of its new zero-emission H-Power electric vehicle charger.
The AFC team will drive a Tesla Model S 75D with the electric battery entirely powered along the way by the company’s H-Power EV charging system.

Launched in December, H-Power is a hydrogen-fueled, zero-emission charger that can be deployed ‘off-grid’, which removes the need for costly grid augmentation and upgrade, and on a modular basis, meaning it is scalable from 2 to over 100 charge points.
As well as demonstrating the H-Power system to schools, partners and other commercial interest, the roadshow will stop at Rotherham’s Advanced Manufacturing Park, home to global manufacturers including Rolls-Royce and Boeing, and finish up on 20 February at Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc in Dundee for the ‘Innovation in Scotland's Energy Storage Industry’ event.
AFC chief executive Adam Bond said: “Following the successful launch of our EV charger unit in December last year, and the vast array of enquiries we are now in discussions to advance, the national roadshow was always the next layer of proof in demonstrating the possibilities of our zero-emission EV charger system.
“The ambitious deployment of EV charging in the UK and across Europe is already beginning to bite with real life case studies already highlighting the risk our grid poses to the deployment of a fleet of decarbonised private and light commercial EVs.
