Great Boulder Resources exploring on multiple fronts in WA

Multiple drill programs are scheduled to commence during the current March quarter.

Great Boulder Resources Ltd (ASX:GBR) kept busy during the December quarter at five of its projects located in the Yilgarn Craton of Western Australia.

Initial RC drilling was completed on three gold prospects at the Whiteheads Project with the 16-hole program yielding results of 16 metres at 1.13 g/t gold from 58 metres.

700 auger samples were also taken from Whiteheads during December with assays expected soon.

Electromagnetic conductor targets were also tested during the December quarter at the Tarmoola Project but the desired minerals were not intersected.

EIS grant approved for Winchester

Great Boulder received approval for co-funded drilling up to $150,000 at Winchester under the WA Government Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS).

RC and diamond drilling will test the down-plunge extent of copper-nickel sulphide mineralisation at the Winchester prospect.

Drilling will commence as soon as a rig becomes available.

Additionally, drilling is also expected to commence at Mt Carlton in conjunction with the Winchester.

Base metal anomaly defined at Mt Venn

At Mt Venn, a small auger program has found evidence of a potential base metal sulphides suggesting a possible VMS-style deposit.

The prospect requires further drilling and ground EM surveys to determine its potential.
