Greg Taylor, CIO of Purpose Investments, tells Proactive London how he wants to capture the growth potential of the global cannabis industry following his inception and management of a similar cannabis equity fund model in Canada.
Taylor explains how the fund, called the Cannabis & Wellness UCITS ETF, is listing on the London Stock Exchange on 22nd January, having already premiered on Deutsche Boerse earlier this month. It is the first and only European UCITS ETF to deliver targeted exposure to the rapidly expanding medical cannabis industry.
Taylor intends to bring lessons learned from the Canada experience to bear in Europe - hence this being a passive fund, rebalanced quarterly.
