Arrow Minerals extends gold discovery at Divole West, assays up to 45 g/t

The Dassa gold discovery includes at least two mineralised zones over a 3-kilometre strike length and is open in multiple directions and at depth.

Arrow Minerals Ltd (ASX:AMD) has received the remaining assays from its maiden 43-hole RC drilling program at the Divole West Gold Project in Burkina Faso.

Drill results have confirmed the Dassa gold discovery, comprising two potentially connected mineralised zones with gold grades up to 45g/t.

The discovery remains open laterally and at depth.

Highlights include:

  • 3 metres at 15.1 g/t gold from 53 metres including 1 metre at 44.7 g/t gold;
  • 17 metres at 3.3 g/t gold from 2 metres including 13 metres at 3.8 g/t gold;
  • 13 metres at 2.4 g/t gold from 31 metres including 5 metres at 3.2 g/t gold; and
  • 33 metres at 1.9 g/t gold from 21 metres including 9 metres at 4.3 g/t gold.

Arrow’s CEO Howard Golden said: “The Dassa gold discovery clearly validates Arrow’s exploration strategy.

“The first drilling on the Divole West permit yielded significant gold mineralisation with clear expansion potential through further drilling to be completed this quarter.

“Two continuous zones of shallow gold mineralisation with grades to 45 g/t gold were confirmed, with both zones open in multiple directions and at depth.

Follow-up drilling planned

“The Arrow teams in Australia and Burkina Faso have systematically planned and executed a successful early exploration programme.

“We will very shortly be following up these very positive results with further drilling as well as aggressively pursuing our other exploration projects.”

Follow-up drilling this quarter will test for the extension of gold mineralisation to the east, north and south and determine whether the northern and southern zones are connected along a strike length of over 3 kilometres.
