Delays in the sale of sites from its strategic landbank will affect MJ Gleeson PLC’s (LON:GLE) first-half numbers, though it expects to hit its targets for the year.
The housebuilder said greater certainty has followed the General Election with demand strong for land with planning permission and it anticipates the land will be sold this half.
Its own housebuilding arm, Gleeson Homes, sold 811 units during the six months to December, up 17% on the previous first half and in line with expectations.
Gleeson Homes’ performance and the anticipated deal flow at Strategic Land in the second half mean that the board remains confident that the group's results for the full year to 30 June 2020 will be in line with expectations, said its statement.
