Payments platform Finablr PLC (LON:FIN) saw its shares slip on Friday after its subsidiary Travelex took its systems offline after suffering a cyberattack on New Year's Eve.
However, in a statement on Thursday the FTSE 250 firm said the outage had not affected its six other brands which were continuing to operate as normal.
Travelex, whose outlets are commonly found in airports and other transport hubs, said it was moving to contain a software virus in its systems in order to protect customer data, adding that to date no sensitive information had been compromised as a result of the attack.
In a statement, Travelex said it has “deployed teams of IT specialists and external cybersecurity experts” to isolate the virus and restore the affected systems.
Shares in Finablr were 1.4% lower at 171p in early trading.
