Tietto Minerals appoints Mark Strizek as an executive director

Strizek has served as a non-executive director of the gold explorer since his appointment in July 2017.

Tietto Minerals Ltd (ASX:TIE) has appointed Mark Strizek as an executive director of the gold exploration company effective from January 1, 2020.

Strizek, who has been a non-executive director of Tietto since his appointment in July 2017, has been instrumental in assisting with the technical development and marketing of the 2.2-million-ounce Abujar Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire.

Driving growth of gold resources

In his new role, he will drive the growth of the company’s gold resources across its projects, including the high-grade Abujar project.

Strizek has been involved in gold exploration, resource development and operations of open pit and underground projects over the last 25 years.

This has ranged from the Kalgoorlie Super Pit to high-grade projects such as Frogs Leg in WA’s Eastern Goldfields and in West Africa, where he had board-level responsibility for gold exploration projects in Burkina Faso and Niger.

Equity markets experience

Strizek also has considerable experience dealing with global equity capital markets and farm-in agreements with international investors.

Tietto’s new executive director was managing director of ASX-listed Vital Metals Ltd from 2011 to 2019 and left the company with A$15 million in cash following the successful sale of the Watershed Tungsten Project.

The company, which has a market cap of approximately $55 million, last traded at 26.5 cents after reaching a new 12-month high of 42 cents in late October.
