Thor Mining - ISR Copper Projects
Thor Mining PLC (LON:THR) is a London listed exploration and development company with projects and interests based in Australia and the USA. Thor's principal projects are the Molyhil Tungsten - Molybdenum Project, located in the Northern Territory, Australia, and the Pilot Mountain Tungsten Project, located in the Nevada, USA.
Thor also currently holds a 25% interest, with the right to increase to 30%, in EnviroCopper Limited, a private Australian company that is earning into a 75%-interest of the Kapunda and Moonta Copper Projects, located in South Australia (Figure 1).
EnviroCopper is currently assessing the potential to extract copper from both Kapunda and Moonta using in-situ recovery (ISR), which is a low-cost and low environmental impact method of mining. The Kapunda Project is the more advanced of the two projects, with initial field pump tests being conducted at the project. Moonta is earlier in its development stage; however, it has the potential to be a significantly larger project, with a substantial exploration target already defined at the project. |
