Codemasters Group Holdings PLC (LON:CDM) shares turned higher on Friday as it unveiled a new video game, Fast & Furious Crossroads, that will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in May next year.
The firm developed the game in partnership with Slightly Mad Studios, which it acquired in November, and has aligned its release to coincide with the ninth film in the Fast & Furious franchise, which will hit cinemas on 22 May.

The game is touted to include both a single player story and multiplayer, in which players will travel from the streets of exotic locales to the murky world of international espionage, pulling off high-speed heists and stunts.
“We believe this game is well suited to Codemasters’ strong racing genre IP portfolio and could help the company expand its audience by being a part of the huge global franchise”, said analysts at Shore Capital.
The shares were 3.4% higher at 256p in mid-morning trading.
